Total Body Lift

by

Total body lift surgery is obliging for patients who have lost skin elasticity all over their body. Excess skin can cause harsh chafing and discomfort, as well as prevent patients from wearing clothes in a smaller size. Total body lifts tackle every part of the body that commonly accumulates fat and surplus skin: arms, breasts, abdomen, hips, thighs, and buttocks can all be recontoured to achieve a smooth, trim, and lifted appearance.

You may listen about total body lift surgery referred to as an upper and lower body lift. In an upper body lift, the arms are care for with an arm lift and the breasts are contoured with a breast lift. These two surgeries can be performed separately or at some stage in a mid or lower body lift.

However a total body lift is the most comprehensive way to rejuvenate your figure after massive weight loss, you need to take into account the extended recovery period required for such complex surgery. You should be ready to remain at home for up to six weeks after your total body lift surgery and to follow all instructions given to you by your plastic surgeon. Once the swelling has gone down and the scars begin to fade, the majority patients are extremely satisfied with their new appearance.

The subsequent are the individual components of body contouring:

Arm lift or brachioplasty – The extra flesh on the arms of bariatric patients virtually always appears on the underside of the upper arm and is sometimes referred to as “bat wings”. Surgeons make incisions made from the armpit to the elbow to remove the skin and create a more agreeable contour. Consequently, surgeons open the arm on its base so that the resulting scar is fairly well hidden. A brachioplasty procedure can employ some liposuction after the cut is made. With the arm opened, the surgeon pulls the skin tight and then trims away the excess skin, depending on the patient, can be a pound of skin per arm or more.

Breast lift or mastopexy – By trimming surplus tissue from the upper breast, the surgeon can move breasts which usually droop to the umbillicus to a more upright and full position. The procedure also often needs an implant to make up for lost fat and tissue inside the breast. Scars on women are approximately always hidden inside the area covered by the bra.

Stomach lift or abdominoplasty – surplus skin hanging down over the pubic region is often the distorting feature that most concerns and bothers patients. The stomach pannus retains moisture, and causes rashes because of skin rubbing against itself which usually leads to poor hygiene. As the surgical procedure to remove it is known as a panniculectomy, there is frequently more work to be done for patients who suffer from large amounts of hanging skin. To endow with improved contours on the waist, back and flanks, surgeons sometimes perform a belt lipectomy, (also known as a torsoplasty or a circumferential lumpectomy). The cut goes all the way around the patients midsection at the level of the lower waist. The surgeon uses more liposuction on the stomach and flanks while trimming excess skin from the patients back and sides too. The abdominoplasty and belt lipectomy incisions are placed so that the resulting scar is hidden within the majority underwear and swimsuits.

Lower body lift – trims surplus skin on the buttocks and thighs. For an inner thigh lift, the surgeon makes an incision lofty on the inner leg, starting near the groin and ongoing down to the knee. A number of fats may be removed with liposuction. The surgeon then removes surplus skin and redrapes the remaining skin before closing the long incision, leaving the patient with tighter and more attractive thighs.

Getting Better Looks with Cosmetic Surgery Loans

Andrew Baker

Looking good makes one feel good and confident. Many times the birth defects, stressful life and aging leave their marks on our bodies, which require correction. Many people feel that a little aesthetic improvement in their face and body will help them tremendously. These treatments and enhancements do not come cheap but cosmetic surgery loans help us finance such procedures.

Cosmetic surgery is a modern surgical wonder, which deals with the makeover of facial and body tissue that requires a reshaping this might be done so as to look normal, to regain working ability after a disaster, or to improve the physical appearance. Sometimes it is also known as plastic surgery.

Given the amount of morale boost it provides to the people, it is a little surprise that cosmetic surgery is increasingly getting popular day by day. Apart from treating it as a medical relief, people are now looking towards it as a lifestyle enhancement procedure. This is the reason why people, even from average financial backgrounds are taking cosmetic surgery loans and flocking to cosmetic surgery centers. They are gradually overlooking the fact that cosmetic surgery is not covered by private medical insurance.

Many types of treatments such as liposuction, breast surgery, breast augmentation, breast reduction, breast improvement, collagen or fat therapy, body tucks and laser treatments are performed under cosmetic surgery.

Before taking a cosmetic surgery loan it is advisable that you should be pretty clear about the procedure that you want to use. Consulting an expert for this matter will definitely help you in knowing the pros and cons of that particular cosmetic procedure. Weigh all the factors and take a suitable decision. Since taking a cosmetic surgery loan is under consideration, you should shop around and look for a solution that is economically viable, and doesnt hurt the pockets too much.

Any cosmetic surgery would require a cosmetic surgeon. Many loan companies that give you a cosmetic surgery loan have a panel of surgeons on their board. You will have to choose from them, but some companies allow you to have a surgeon of your choice. It is better to give this fact a serious consideration because following the rules of the lending company might bind you with costly surgery options.

There are two types of medical costs involved in any cosmetic surgery- the operating costs and the post-operative costs. Many of us, while looking for a cosmetic surgery solution pay attention only to the operating costs but the post-operative procedures and precautions will also form a major chunk of your total costs on the surgery. The post- operative visits to the specialist, clothing, diet, medication, equipments all must be given due consideration in arriving at the final cost of the cosmetic surgery.

Cosmetic surgery loans can be secured or unsecured. The secured loans will use some of your property as collateral. If the cosmetic surgery loan is unsecured it will be given after a strict credit check and verifying the soundness of your financial condition. Major lending companies, if they get proper collateral or find that the person concerned is credit worthy- do not hesitate in lending amounts up to 25000. The monthly installments can be decided mutually by negotiating with the lending companies. The repayment periods range from 24 to 60 months. The interest rates charged on cosmetic surgery loans are generally lower than those charged on the credit cards but they can increase dramatically in case the lender feels that you have a poor credit history and their capital is at risk.

Cosmetic surgery loans give you the capital to get that facelift and body correction, which will boost your self-esteem. Cosmetic surgery is not the domain of a privileged few and widely available to general public, thanks to cosmetic surgery loans. Now, almost everyone can get his desired look and shape. So, dont wait, get that cosmetic surgery loan and look your best.

Face Lift – Good or Bad?

by

John PawlettIf you are considering getting a lift for yourself, there are a few basic elements about a face lift that you should learn, know, and understand before undergoing this major procedure.

First of all, learn all you can about what a lift is and about the actual face lift procedure. A lift is a type of complicated cosmetic facial surgery that involves lifting the face by treating wrinkles and severely sagging skin to achieve a younger, healthier appearance in the face. A lift can tighten up your skin, repair creases and wrinkles around your eyes, nose, and mouth, and remove excess fat from your neck.

But, what specifically is involved in this type of cosmetic surgery? If you are considering a lift, its essential for you to first learn all the facts and everything you can about lifts from books, brochures, and online resources to lift surgery patients, your doctor, and a cosmetic surgeon.

Furthermore, not everyone is a good candidate for lift surgery. Typically, good candidates are in their 40s, 50s and 60s, with wrinkles and noticeably sagging skin in and around the face. In addition, not all lifts are the same. There are many different types of lifts including chin surgery, eyelid surgery, neck lifts, throat lifts, and other lift variations. Its important to understand the different types so you can determine which lift surgery may be right for you.

Finally, consider the cost. lift costs vary considerably from country to country, city to city, surgeon to surgeon, and depend on the type and extent of surgery needed. Find out how much it will cost and decide if it will be worth it to have the kind of lift you think you need.

I have no trouble in attesting to the fact that a lift has given me a new life! While at first I was concerned about the possible repercussions of getting a face lift, I can honestly look back on having a face lift done as one of the best decisions I ever made. After getting a face lift and seeing the final results, I am extremely happy with my new appearance.

Before I got a face lift I was dissatisfied with my appearance; unfortunately, with age, I had developed crows feet around my eyes, unwanted frown lines, and my forehead started to develop deep furrows. In truth, it doesnt sound all that bad, but the slow facial changes I was undergoing were really having a bad effect on my self-esteem. Even worse, as my level of self-esteem was affected, so was my overall confidence I started feeling self-conscious about my appearance. Thats when I decided to make some changes and I am so glad I did.

After the face lift, I felt like I had a new lease on life. The face lift minimized the natural changes I had undergone and I still feel years younger. I approach everything I do with a new level of confidence and self-esteem. Whats more, my improved self-esteem has given me a new vigor; I dont get depressed about my appearance and I have more enthusiasm for life than ever before! Clearly, having a face lift has given me a new life!

Burn After Reading – Is It Worth Watching?

by

James Woolley

Burn After Reading is a semi-satirical semi-witty film about the U.S. intelligence agencies. Unfortunately, to put it bluntly, the movie is simply a disaster, particularly as it was written and produced by the Coen Brothers.

The movie features an all star cast playing less than all star performances. The cast consists of Brad Pitt and George Clooney along with lesser known star Frances McDormand. The story revolves around an ex-CIA agent Osbourne Cox (John Malkovich) being laid off from the CIA for no apparent reason. He explodes when he hears about this and decides to write down everything he learned at the CIA.Through a series of unlikely and hardly believable events, the memoirs of this ex-CIA agent end up in the hands of Linda Litzke (Frances McDormand) and Chad Feldheimer (Brad Pitt). At first Chad believes he’s stumbled upon an absolute goldmine of information. He first tries to sell the information to Russian informants, and then tries to use it to blackmail Cox and the CIA.Unfortunately, while the storyline might sound comedic and funny, in reality it was much closer to being just plain confusing. Throughout the storyline there are points where it was funny, but the underlying feeling while watching the film is definitely one of ‘What the heck is going on?’Basically, all the way until the end of the movie there’s a sense of pointlessness or triviality. The movie simply doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. At the very end when the CIA director finally asks ‘Do we even know what happened?’ there seemed to be a point – that the CIA doesn’t know what they’re doing – being made. However, the entire movie watching experience was less than impressive. Most of the characters were either poorly played or simply hard to believe. For example, Linda’s prime motivation in life seemed to be to get as much plastic surgery as possible. All the characters were really over the top and hardly believable. Their actions simply aren’t how ‘normal’ people would act in the real world.Overall this might be a good movie to have running in the background while drinking beers with the boys or playing poker. It’s definitely not a film you want to dedicate 90 minutes of your life to watching. It’s humor is sporadic, but overall it’s fairly mind numbing and you’ll have no idea what’s going on throughout the film. Overall I would give it 2 stars out of 5. Not recommended unless you’re a hardcore Brad Pitt or George Clooney fan.
