If you are a new company you may be thinking about parking permits. But they are a real hassle, you may argue. Who needs parking permits? Lets talk about some of the benefits of parking permits you may be changing your tune right away!
Parking permits are a serious safety issue. Did you know that parking permits are often the first step to keeping your employees safe? Parking permits help you know which employees are on your companys premises and who has gone home. By keeping track of who may have come in early or is staying late youll have a good sense of employee safety. Employees deserve to be kept safe if they are working alone or nearly by themselves alone in the building. Your security staff can only be alert to who is there through parking permits thats just the first step.
Having parking permits can help if there is trouble with an employees car during the day. Imagine the scene: your security staff does a routine inspection of the office parking lot. They find an employee has a flat tire. Immediately they check the parking sticker and it is the Secretary to the Accounting Department. They call her and help her call an auto mechanic who comes to fix the tire while she is at work. The Secretary doesnt miss much work taking care of her car. If you didnt have one you wouldnt be part of the company. Giving employees parking passes is a pat on the back and a way to support them. It also reminds them where they are to park and if you want certain departments to park in a specific area this will let them know to do this as well. A parking pass is considered an employee benefit by many.
